Initially located on Salami Street, Mende, the school relocated to its permanent campus on Oki Lane, Maryland, Lagos in 2003. In 2009, Halifield expanded to include a secondary school, preparing students for university entrance and fostering holistic development.

About the Role

  • We are seeking a highly skilled QuickBooks Online (QBO) Specialist to join our team.
  • The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of accounting principles, strong technical skills, and the ability to effectively manage client accounts.

Responsibilities
Account Setup and Maintenance:

  • Set up new QBO accounts for clients, ensuring accurate chart of accounts, item lists, and other essential settings.
  • Maintain and update client accounts, including adding/removing users, adjusting settings, and resolving any issues.

Data Entry and Reconciliation:

  • Accurately enter financial transactions into QBO, including bank feeds, credit card transactions, and journal entries.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and other general ledger accounts.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Generate customized reports to meet client needs, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement.

Client Support:

  • Provide excellent customer service to clients, answering questions, resolving issues, and training them on QBO features.
  • Respond to client inquiries promptly and professionally.

Stay Updated:

  • Stay current with the latest QBO features, updates, and best practices.
  • Attend training sessions and webinars to maintain expertise.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a QuickBooks Online Specialist or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in QBO, including advanced features and customization.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in QuickBooks Online.
  • Experience with other accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage).
  • Knowledge of industry-specific accounting requirements.
