Job Summary:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated IT Intern to join our technology team. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in various aspects of IT operations, including system administration, network management, and technical support. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to learn, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for technology.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support and Operations:

• Assist in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
• Configure and deploy desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control
• Monitor system logs, performance, and security
• Participate in IT projects, including upgrades, migrations, and deployments

Advanced Technical Tasks:

• Assist in managing virtual machines and environments
• Support storage system configuration and maintenance
• Help implement backup and recovery processes
• Assist with firewall rules and access control implementation
• Support database performance monitoring and optimization
• Participate in cloud migration and integration projects
• Learn and assist with IT automation and scripting
• Support web application development initiatives
• Help manage mobile device security and configuration
• Assist in maintaining IT compliance standards

Administrative Duties:

• Document IT processes, procedures, and maintain knowledge base
• Maintain inventory of IT assets and supplies
• Provide technical support to employees
• Assist in training users on new technologies
• Participate in IT meetings, discussions, and brainstorming sessions

Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Technical Knowledge:

• Basic understanding of computer hardware and software systems
• Must be knowledgeable in at least one programming language (e.g. Python, JavaScript, etc.)
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems
• Basic networking knowledge
• Understanding of basic security principles
• Familiarity with common office applications

Personal Qualities:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies
• Professional attitude and reliable work ethic

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with virtualization platforms
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Knowledge of IT security best practices
• Experience with help desk or customer service

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₦100,000.00 per month
